To support our expansion we are seeking an experienced and professional individual to join our development team with primary responsibility for researching, designing and implementing enhancements and maintenance fixes to our market-leading Robotic Process Automation application.

This role would be well suited to an enthusiastic graduate (or post-grad) who has a demonstrable interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning and who is looking to gain experience developing a market-leading enterprise product in an Agile environment.

 

Role specification

  • Research new or updated technologies and evaluate their suitability
  • Introduce new product feature enhancements.
  • Develop and implement product maintenance fixes.
  • Contribute to the technical product documentation and working with the product management team to ensure effective communication of features to the customer base.
  • Generate and maintain unit tests and assist with the creation and validation of automated test processes.
  • Adhere to the development, QA and reporting procedures.
  • Work closely with the QA team to investigate and resolve reported or anticipated problems. Provide third-line assistance to the product support team and the professional services projects team.

Person specification

  • All-round technical skills, with demonstrable programming experience – ideally using VB.NET.
  • Familiarity of developing applications that leverage SQL Server databases.
  • Ideally qualified to degree level in a computer-related (or applicable) discipline.
  • Good inter-personal communication skills – able to manage jobs in conjunction with customers and to explain technical concepts to non-technical business people.
  • Excellent customer facing manner and ‘can-do’ attitude. Structured and methodological approach. Documentation is kept up to date, software code is released in a structured manner, faults are logged and fixed properly etc.

To support our extremely exciting and rapid expansion we are seeking an experienced and professional individual to join our Product Management team as a Product Owner, reporting into the lead product owner.

The successful candidate will be responsible leading cross-functional resources necessary for successful product definition where you will provide relevant business context for the Agile software development team and lead the team through planning exercises designed to help select development work for time-boxed execution.

This role is ideal for an individual who has a strong level of understanding of technology with a passion for delivering quality software in a highly competitive industry.

There are opportunities for both working from home and office based work in our Newton Le Willows office on other days.  There is also the requirement for occasional travel to other, sometimes international, destinations.
