The inaugural meeting of the Operational Agility Forum was held in Henley-on-Thames in July 2009 with the second meeting taking place at the BT Tower in London in February 2010. 

The forum was established as a platform for Business and IT professionals across industries to meet and discuss best practice for achieving agile business operations that more readily and more efficiently meet business challenges and opportunities,please visit www.operationalagility.com to request to become a member of the forum and register your interest in future meetings 

Common themes include:

• How to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their operations
• How to reduce their reliance on manual processes
• How to remove errors and inconsistencies in processes
• How to maximise IT support and benefits of automation
• How to combine IT and operations most effectively
• How to improve customer's experience

The forum set to explore these challenges, share experiences and approaches and to work towards a template for best practice methodologies and technology needed to deliver agile business operations with the necessary IT support.

 The members share many common challenges including how to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their operations, how to reduce their reliance on manual processes, to remove errors and inconsistencies in their processes and to ultimately improve their customer's experience. The forum remit is to explore these challenges, share experiences and best practice approaches and to ultimately work towards a template for agile business operations and the necessary IT methodologies and technology needed to support operational agility.
