LAUNCH INSTRUCTIONS FOR PC USERS

Once successfully logged on you will see the following displayed.

Turn your Virtual Machine on by toggling the switch in the ‘red block’ shown in the image. This will take about 2 to 3 minutes to start the image.

Next select the symbol within the ‘green block’ in the image to download a connection file.

If you are a Microsoft Windows user, double click on the connection file to connect to your image using the following credentials:

  • Username: Trainee
  • Password: Tr4in33!

If you are a MAC user then please follow the instructions detailed below, using the same credentials as above.

You are now ready to go and can complete the exercises in your lab as you follow along with the SS&C Blue Prism Cloud Experience training material.

INSTALL RDP FOR MAC USERS

As a MAC user to access the training image you will need to download the ‘Microsoft Remote Desktop’ application from the Apple Store. In addition you should have already connected to the training image through your browser and downloaded the .RDP Connection file from the training site. The steps below detail how you set up the Microsoft Remote Desktop application to use the downloaded .RDP connection:

  • Go to the icon Dock on your desktop and click the blue “App Store” icon to open it.
  • Inside the Mac App Store, type “Microsoft Remote Desktop” into the search bar at the top right-hand portion of the window.
  • To begin downloading Microsoft Remote Desktop, click the blue “Get” button. This app is free, so no price will be listed. Once you click on “Get,” the button will turn green and say “Install app.” Click the button again.
  • Close the App Store as you do not need this anymore.
  • To access the newly downloaded app, click the grey “Launchpad” icon in the Dock and then click the Microsoft Remote Desktop app icon to open the app.

Once open, the following should be displayed:

Note: When you first open theapplication, you may be presented with a pop-up window alerting you to what is new in Microsoft Remote Desktop. Feel free to close that window and continue on.

  • Drag the download .RDP file from the training site into the application and it will create a connection for you.
  • Enter a friendly connection name. For example, you could call it “My Training Image”.
  • Next enter your credentialsin the username and password fields that were supplied in your ‘Welcome Email’.
  • You can then Save and you are ready to go.
