Performance Test Analyst

We are currently looking for an experienced performance test analyst to join our performance test team. The candidate will have a strong background in the performance testing space, with extensive skills in enhancing the performance test approach along with continually researching and recommending performance test tools. The candidate will also have the ability to monitor the performance of applications under test from a database and hardware utilization perspective along with responsiveness of the application under varying degrees of load. The ideal candidate will be able to provide robust performance testing and reporting along with supplying recommendations for enhancements based on finding. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter who is able to work on their own initiative and deliver high quality testing to deadlines.

• Extensive experience on performance test tools such as Visual Studio / LoadRunner / JMeter
• Experience working with applications deployed across virtualised infrastructures
• Ability to identify and implement alternative methods of generating and injecting loads into the application
• Experience performance testing .NET Client-Server applications for both application performance and interface responsiveness under differing conditions
• Sound foundation experience in non-functional software QA
• You will be able to clearly document repeatable performance tests so that other team members can easily understand purpose, actions and expected outcomes
• You will be adaptable in various testing methodologies, practices, and tools that complement the software quality process
• You will be a self-starter who finds solutions rather than problems and is easily able to adapt to new technologies
• You will be used to working in an agile environment and adaptable to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment

Your Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with the Performance Test Lead, maintain, enhance and document the performance and scale testing implementation for the product
• Assessment of requirements and deriving of appropriate test scenarios to provide optimal and efficient performance test coverage
• Continually research new tools to support the performance testing approach
• Execute continuous performance testing across the in-development version of the application
• Collaboration with the team in continuously enhancing performance and scale QA processes
• Implement concise and repeatable performance test reporting
• Identification of performance defects followed by clear and concise reporting of such issues
• Strong assessment and effort estimation skills with respect to team deliverables and particularly QA aspects
• Work closely alongside product managers, developers, etc. to ensure the quality of all performance requirements are suitably met whilst delivered on-time and to-specification
• Maintenance and continuous enhancement of performance test process and collateral in an ever-evolving product environment
