With demand for connected-RPA soaring in the Nordic region, it was only a matter of time before we officially opened an office here. On June 11, 2019 it became official and we arranged a little celebratory event in Stockholm, Sweden. This office will support increasing regional demand for our connected-RPA platform and growing list of Nordic customers – including; Ericsson, Nordea Bank and Volvo, who are looking to apply intelligent automation to stay competitive and innovative.
It was great to see so many partners, staff and customers in attendance at our Nordic launch event and Robert Ekström Vice President and General Manager EMEA North at Blue Prism, made everyone feel very welcome.
Robert Ekström highlighted why it’s time to accelerate our market share in the Nordics. He explained that Sweden is a good hub for operations as we already have a strong footprint here – which is generating more than 100 percent growth. He believes that customers really appreciate the potential of digital workers to improve business efficiency - while providing higher quality, customer-centric services. By committing and adding more local resources to this growing market, we’re ensuring that both our partners and customers are successful too.
Also present at the event, was Pat Geary, Chief Evangelist at Blue Prism, who explained three key things to think about when considering implementing RPA, to achieve success, “You must get senior level buy in, then create an empowered, centre of excellence - with a clear vision of transforming the way your business works. You then bring in a digital workforce, to work alongside your human workers and create the workforce of the future.”
Brian Mort, senior vice president and general manager of EMEA sales at Blue Prism, believes that the Nordics are early adopters of RPA - compared with other parts of Europe and this cultural acceptance means that rapid growth is expected. He also explained that there are so many business applications of RPA and AI that are driving growth – with organizations experiencing amazing results - such as banks now processing loans in minutes – rather than weeks.
Our launch is being well received by customers too. Agnieszka Belowska-Gosławska, Head of Robotics Center of Excellence at Nordea Bank explained, “We’ve been working with Blue Prism since 2015 and have deployed hundreds of digital workers to securely automate dozens of mission critical procedures. By opening an office in Stockholm, we will be able to collaborate even more closely with Blue Prism as our partners to better service our customers and develop new innovative offerings through intelligent automation.”
We’ve seen customer adoption in this region really increase - especially across key vertical industries including; automotive, banking, financial services and telecommunications. However, this launch is just the start, as we look forward to helping more organizations in this region to adopt connected-RPA – so they too deliver transformation across their business operations.
