Making AI & Machine Learning Easy to Consume

Blue Prism customers want an automation platform that is cloud-ready and offers interoperability and choices to help them meet digital transformation and productivity goals.

These choices include flexible deployment options, as well as uncomplicated access to artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities.

As the industry leader in Intelligent Process Automation, Blue Prism has always been committed to creating a connected-RPA platform that makes it easy for our customers to consume the best in AI and machine learning technologies using their Blue Prism Digital Workforce.

Blue Prism’s collaboration with Microsoft is just one way we make this possible – and today that includes a Form Recognizer API Skill that’s now available on the Blue Prism Digital Exchange. Today, Microsoft also announced the general availability of Form Recognizer, an Azure Cognitive Service – an AI-enabled technology that applies advanced machine learning to accurately extract information from documents.

Blue Prism’s Form Recognizer API Skill: Turn forms into usable data

This new API skill gives Blue Prism developers access to advanced deep-learning algorithms to Form Recognizer and applies advanced machine learning to accurately extract text, key/value pairs and tables from documents.

Form Recognizer is also capable of supporting multi-page documents (images, PDFs and TIFF files), and extracts a structured representation output of the document and its contents.

With just a few samples, Form Recognizer tailors its understanding to your documents – whether they’re on-premises or in the cloud. Turn forms into usable data at a fraction of the time and cost – and spend more time acting on information instead of compiling it.

“The recent release of our Form Recognizer API skill reflects our commitment to innovation,” says Colin Redbond, SVP of Emerging Technologies at Blue Prism. “It also gives our customers the power to quickly add advanced machine learning and key value pair extraction to any Blue Prism process, as well as get more insights from unstructured data.”

“Microsoft's Form Recognizer has enabled organizations to rethink information extraction from documents,” says Neta Haiby, Principal Product Manager, Azure Cognitive Services at Microsoft Corp. “Integrating our service within the Blue Prism platform will help customers automate and accelerate document data extraction.”

Better Together

Blue Prism’s longstanding work with Microsoft also includes near-instant, drag-and-drop access to such Azure Cognitive Services as Language Translation, Message Analysis, and many others.

We’ve also developed a Microsoft Power Platform connector, also available on Blue Prism’s Digital Exchange, which allows users to include Blue Prism processes into new or existing Microsoft PowerApps and in Power Automate business processes.

This new connector not only integrates with each component of the Power Platform, but also integrates more broadly with the entire Microsoft ecosystem – as well as with the universe of connectors available in both Microsoft’s Power Automate gallery and the Blue Prism Digital Exchange.

Blue Prism’s collaboration with Microsoft is helping our joint customers accelerate their process automation goals, make AI and machine learning tools easier to use and consume, realize efficiencies, and focus on more strategic, productive, and valuable work.
