In May 2019, Women in RPA was formed to celebrate the contributions of women at Blue Prism and throughout our community who were succeeding in Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Over the last 3 years we have sponsored women-centered events, such as Women of Silicon Roundabout and the Grace Hopper India Celebration, fostered a community of more than 3,500 followers, and spotlighted many amazing women leading digital and business transformation. In 2021, the “Woman in Intelligent Automation” of the year award was hands-down the best performing new category ever to Blue Prism’s awards program. The award was won by Nikki North, who is a founding member of the RPA industry in her own right. We want to thank all the fabulous women leaders who have contributed over the past three years and celebrate the contributions we have made towards achieving the objectives set out when we began.
As we reflected on our third anniversary, we recognized that our community is no longer ‘in RPA’. We are in intelligent automation, business process management, process intelligence, document automation, OCR, NLP, AI/ML, and the cloud, plus many other emerging, digital technologies that are driving the future of work. You have reimagined how business works and used RPA as tool in your toolbox to push your organizations to the forefront of digital transformation. To acknowledge this progression, we now move to the next chapter as Women Powering Digital Transformation.
Our objectives remain our underlying foundation, and we will continue to focus on empowering women, driving awareness of the benefits of diversity, and ensuring that a diverse and inclusive workforce is realized in the future of work.
