Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the other Contracts Co-ordinator and the wider legal team to provide a responsive ‘point of first contact’ for business colleagues seeking access to Blue Prism Legal. Further details are provided in Annex 1 (Responsibilities).

Our Ideal Candidate

A strong candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience as a paralegal or contract manager at a large or mid-sized company or law firm;
  • A demonstrable interest in commercial law and contracts;
  • Experience in review and drafting of basic legal agreements;
  • Preferably, some exposure to software licensing agreements.

  • Strong customer service ethos with a friendly, responsive ‘can do’ attitude;
  • Strong analytical capabilities and judgment;
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross functional teams and colleagues in an agile, fast-moving environment;
  • Curiosity about how we operate our business and the markets we serve in order to develop innovative solutions;
  • Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight time-frames in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented;
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones in the USA and Europe;
  • Skilled in Microsoft suite of products, including PowerPoint and Excel; and
  • Willingness to tackle new subjects outside area of expertise.

ANNEX 1

Responsibilities

The following is a non-exhaustive list of tasks the successful candidate will be expected to perform:

  • Managing the global email inbox for the global legal team.
  • Providing timely, efficient responses to common legal requests from business colleagues.
  • Advising on Blue Prism standard contracting structures (e.g. indirect v direct sales).
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships across all Blue Prism departments.
  • Tracking and recording data on legal queries and contracts for reporting purposes, and preparing reports at regular intervals (e.g. on non-standard terms, legal workload etc).
  • Assisting lawyers with legal research and drafting basic commercial agreements (e.g. NDAs, simple contracts, amendments, contract summaries etc).
  • Negotiating basic agreements with customers and partners (e.g. NDAs, education and marketing agreements).
  • Advising on Blue Prism’s procurement processes and handling procurement requests
  • Assisting with the implementation and management of Blue Prism compliance policies (e.g. including gifts and hospitality reporting, data protection records etc)
  • Routing more complex matters to appropriate members of the legal team.
  • Confirming that internal processes and approvals have been properly followed.
  • Assisting in IP and product clearances and roll-outs
  • Filing, sending and retrieving soft and hard-copy documents.
  • Reviewing and drafting global legal templates.
  • Developing, publishing and maintaining a list of legal FAQs and updating the Legal Chat Bot.
  • Curating and maintaining content on Blue Prism’s legal intranet sites.
  • Training new starters on legal process and policy.
  • Co-ordinating signature requests
