Blue Prism is looking to hire a qualified Systems Accountant who can help support the finance team. This is an ideal role for a recently qualified (5-10 years post qualification) who plans to further their development in a varied role with exposure to both financial and systems aspects of accounting. This is a unique opportunity that offers broad exposure to financial and commercial aspects of an accountancy role, as well as significant systems responsibilities. Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager with matrix reporting into the Finance Shared Service centre. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the accounting system and you will also be able to explore an accounts system in depth and development reports and widgets that suit specific business needs.
There will be system changes and implementations to review to ensure robust process and integrity of the finance systems. Included within this will be occasional financial accounting queries and projects, including accounting and analysing certain revenue streams and cost centres, and reporting for FP&A functions. Following this initial automation period, a further 6-month period will be a blend of the above driven by yourself depending on your interests and the business needs. The work will then predominantly focus on the implementation of a new finance system (to be selected) along with driving data and process quality across the Finance team and wider organisation.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Exhibits outward curiosity and drive to improve continuously
A self-starter who is constantly looking to improve in a highly fluid environment
Adept at working with systems and translating finance process to system process
Experience with administering an accounting system (Netsuite, Xero, Sage, Oracle etc.) or at least with auditing them (systems auditing etc.)
Collaborative worker committed to sharing knowledge and skills, who is willing to take ownership and accountability for their work and acts with integrity, acknowledging mistakes and willing to learn from them.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work to deadlines, manage ones’ own time and work independently
Strong systems and problem solving skills with logical, methodical approach to resolution
Accountancy qualification, ideally ACA supported by degree in Maths
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following
Primary responsibility for the smooth running of core Finance Systems including, but not limited to, Netsuite, Concur, Blackline
Line management responsibility of interim staff within team for delivery of project targeted focussed output
Line management responsibility of graduate systems role to provide support for delivery of systems tasks
Development of processes and system solutions within FSSC
Operational lead for system and process change within the FSSC and for FC's
Hands on issue resolution including appropriate system development and change
Impact assessment of changes with appropriate process for change using appropriate Project Planning methodologies
Responsible for systems training across team and wider organisation
Support of user and workflow maintenance
Management of delivery of ITGC SOX compliance
Implementation of SOX controls across Finance processes covering the core Finance systems
Specification and control of RPA processes across the core finance systems and monitoring and maintenance of such
Ownership of Finance IT helpdesk including prioritisation of calls, solution delivery to SLA
Reporting library ownership
Creation and maintenance of existing Finance reports including documentation of source, purpose and interpretation
Helpdesk call resolution as required
Responsible for system update testing and impact
Creation and maintenance of UAT test plans for team and System test plans
Ensure that all systems solutions delivered adhere to appropriate accounting standards and are fully reconciled
Work with FSSC and wider teams to ensure account reconciliation from core data source
Ad hoc issue resolution
