At Blue Prism we’re going through an exciting period of growth. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant to join the Finance team. Given the fast-paced nature and variety of the Finance department, there will never be a dull moment in the role.

You must possess strong communication skills and be an ambitious and hard-working individual looking for your next challenge. This role will suit a proactive individual that has the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Since its listing on the London Stock Exchange AIM market in early 2016, it has enjoyed tenfold revenue growth, with customer base, employee headcount and other business metrics also growing at an exciting rate. The confidence of the market has allowed the Group to raise a further £240m in new share placings, £100m of which in April 2020, and it currently has a market capitalisation of £1.05bn (July 20).

The Group has regional subsidiaries in 16 countries covering EMEA, Americas & APAC, and has opened new offices in the last twelve months in Russia, Sweden, South Africa, China, and Spain. In 2019 it made its first acquisition, a SaaS group, now integrated as Blue Prism Cloud.

Our Ideal Candidate

Your Experience:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage ones’ own time and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of operating in a tight control environment
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and implementing new ways of doing things
  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Have a good working knowledge of Excel and other tools
  • Experience of Group accounts and dealing with multiple subsidiary companies
  • Experience with preparation/audit of statutory accounts under IFRS or US GAAP

Desirable but not a pre-requisite:

  • Have experience of overseas subsidiaries
  • Have worked within the software or technology sector
  • NetSuite experience

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Preparation, completion and review of month end accounts
  • Monthly variance analysis for actual results against budget and forecast
  • Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of each local subsidiary’s accounting records
  • Supervision of revenue invoices, purchase invoices and staff expenses
  • Posting of journals, including month end accruals, depreciation and recharges
  • Preparation and approval of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provision of information to in country accounting and tax suppliers
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with staff internally and with external suppliers, such as in country accounting and tax suppliers and banks
  • Cashflow forecast and management of working capital balances in each country
  • Managing overseas staff use to corporate systems, including NetSuite and Concur
  • Implementing new processes and improving current procedures
  • Assisting with the group year end and half year financial statements and associated disclosures
  • Preparation of local subsidiary financial statements and liaison with local auditors
