Your Opportunity

Managing the CFO function for our Americas organization's finances and are responsible for financial reporting. You will be an experienced CFO/GFC (Group Financial Controller) with a strong technical background and be able to assume direct responsibility for the daily management of group finance, including improving existing and developing new internal control procedures. The role provides autonomy, board level exposure and excellent potential for progression as the company continues to experience huge growth.

The Regional Finance Lead/Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a company has primary responsibility for the planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of a company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations.The successful individual will be a hands-on, with excellent technical acumen (IFRS) and a proven record in people management and team development. A unique position which offers great independence, you must be comfortable with working in a dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.


Based in New York office and there will be occasional domestic/international travel when required.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will be ACA or ACCA qualified, current with IFRS accounting standards and have already successfully carried out a similar role, managing a team across a wide geographical area, ideally on a global level.


Group Reporting

  • Responsibility for monthly, half year and full year group reporting including monthly management accounts, half year and full year group consolidated financial statements - ensuring compliance with group accounting policies and IFRS.
  • Management and oversight of the year end Group and local subsidiary statutory audits and taking the lead on the Annual Report from a finance perspective.
  • Direct the reporting, consolidation and review of the monthly, quarterly as well as annual financial results.
  • Ownership of accounting policies including production of policies manual and implementation of new IFRS across the group.
  • Liaison with internal and external auditors.

Statutory Audit & Reporting

  • Management and oversight of the year end Group and local subsidiary statutory audits and taking the lead on the Annual Report from a finance perspective.
  • Direct the reporting, consolidation and review of the monthly, quarterly as well as annual financial results.
  • Ownership of accounting policies including production of policies manual and implementation of new IFRS across the group.
  • Liaison with internal and external auditors.

Treasury Management

  • Ensure all bank mandates, cash control, bank reconciliations, FX and treasury controls are appropriately managed and reported.
  • Group Insurance Management.
  • Management of the Groups insurance policies and key point of contact with the Group’s insurance brokers.

Payroll & Pensions Management

  • Management of the Group payroll department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing and payments of all Global payrolls.
  • Ensure all statutory reporting and annual returns are actioned.
  • Ensure all annual returns and reporting of Pension and Life Assurance, are submitted in a timely manner.

Technical Accounting

  • The role is responsible for all technical accounting matters including new IFRS standards impacting the Group.
  • Given the listed status of the Group you will also be responsible for ensuring full compliance with AIM financial reporting requirements.
  • There are several share schemes and share incentive plans in operation across the Group, and as part of the Group reporting requirements this role is responsible for all accounting matters in respect of the various share schemes.

Staff Leadership and Management

  • The finance team has expanded rapidly over the past eighteen months with the creation of the Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) and the appointment of regional Financial Controllers.
  • The department is dynamic and continues to change in line with the wider business demands. Given the pace of growth, different initiatives and competing workloads the team work in a matrix environment so as much as the role has direct reports the resources are shared amongst the wider finance team.
  • The role reports directly to the Group CFO and you will work closely with the Group FP&A manager, the Regional Finance Controllers and the Head of Investor Relations.


You will be required to lead, mentor and develop team members and provide general oversight of the development of the Shared Services Team. Provide staff appraisals and personal development plans, commensurate with the role and responsibilities set. Manage current training requirements in line with role and responsibilities. Support staff welfare to include competency assessments and performance management.
