We are seeking a self-starting experienced Reward Manager to support business growth in the America’s based at our Austin office. The successful candidate will have exceptional people and communication skills, a strong benefits background, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

The Reward Manager is responsible for the administration and development, of all employee benefit programs aimed to attract, motivate and retain employees while adhering to the company’s defined budget. The incumbent evaluates the competitive nature of the current compensation and benefit programs through research, surveys and analysis of trends working closely with business leaders, recruiters and human resources business partners to deploy creativity in using benefits to drive business outcomes. The role holder will also have responsibility for the Compensation projects, providing input to the Global Reward Director to ensure the competitiveness of the offering in our Americas region (US, Canada & LATAM).

The Benefits and Compensation Manager also provides excellent customer service to employees by supplying them with the information, education and support they need to understand and utilize the programs provided by the company.

The role will operate within a matrixed structure and will work as part of a globally dispersed team.

Your Experience:

  • Proven track record of successful delivery as a Reward Manager
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong Communication Skills: Superior written and oral communication skills; ability to present information and influence decisions; comfort working with people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels within the organization
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinking and project management skills
  • Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment; flexible in response to changing employee needs; maintain professionalism and composure under pressure
  • Organizational Skills: Extremely organized; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; meticulous attention to detail
  • Regulatory/Compliance: In-depth knowledge of federal and Multi-State Employment and benefits legislation
  • California Employment Experience
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with UltiPro and Workday HRIS strongly preferred
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit across teams regardless of geographical boundaries
  • Hands-on individual, solutions-based approach to solving HR issues
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel to remote offices across the US and Canada

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manages the administration of health, welfare and retirement plans, including assisting with benefits transactions that occur over the life-cycle of employment.
  • Provides front line support to all employees in relation to all employer sponsored benefits.
  • Troubleshoots employee claims issues, coverage questions, and general information. Attending to and responding to employee queries in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develops a deep relationship with the HR community operating as a stakeholder manager with the geographic HR team, the Global Reward team and partners in Finance and payroll.
  • Able to successfully operate within a matrixed structure and work as part of a global team.
  • Is able to clearly present and recommend benefits programs to management based on a cost/benefit analysis.
  • Manages the maintenance of ongoing data file feeds, ensuring accuracy of enrolments, changes, and terminations.
  • Oversees and approves processing of monthly billings and preparation of payment for all group plans and other related benefits invoices.
  • Assist with conducting audits of payroll deductions to ensure accuracy between enrolment election and deduction code.
  • Leads the development, design, and distribution of benefits communication and education material.
  • Ensures that employee benefits communications material is accurate, timely, and easy to understand.
  • Manages the preparation of annual open enrolment materials and presentations.
  • Recommends improvements to corporate compliance philosophy, infrastructure, programs, and policies.
  • Responsible for all of the employee benefits reporting and disclosure requirements.
  • Complies with federal and state regulations as well as contract adherence, but not limited to, FLSA and Affordable Care Act reporting requirements and other compliance reporting.
  • Manages American with Disability (ADA) issues and requests with employees, managers and leadership as required.
  • Ensures that COBRA compliance is completed on a timely basis both through Payroll and Vendors for new hires, terminations, etc.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, obtaining qualified opinions; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.
  • Reviews and ensures all 5500 filings and ACA compliance is completed on a timely basis

· Prepare analysis, reports, and presentations, EEO-1, VETS 100, and AAP reports.

  • Develops a deep relationship with Brokers to analyse benefit options, predict future costs, and identify optimal benefit options.
  • Manages the annual employee benefits open enrolment and life event enrolment while working with HRIS team to verify enrolment options are accurately planned, input, and processed in HRIS system.
  • Ensures security of confidential information.
  • Works closely with the HRIS team to ensure accurate and consistent workforce data is held and is being transferred accurately to appropriate third parties.
  • Conducts internal and external market research to define market trends and performs competitiveness analysis recommending salary structures, equity adjustments, and variable pay programs.
  • Manages the annual compensation planning process, including merit and annual incentive plans.
  • Participates in compensation surveys to develop best practice pay programs aimed toward attracting, retaining and engaging talent.
  • Project & Process Management: leads and/or participates in small to medium process improvement initiatives that require a basic working knowledge of formal project management. Actively reports project status points to stakeholders and management using project management standard practices.
