The role available:
As our Senior Legal Counsel, you will work closely with our sales teams and business stakeholders to negotiate transactions for the licensing of our software and provision of services in the EMEA region, alongside other members of Blue Prism’s rapidly growing and collaborative global legal team.
Your advice will cover the legal and commercial aspects of a wide range of agreement types, such as on-premise software licences, software-as-a-service agreements, professional services agreements and partner agreements. You will enjoy thinking quickly, critically and creatively, finding ways to address new and existing legal challenges with a degree of flexibility rarely seen in the software industry, and will have direct access to anyone within our business who can support you – including our finance, IP, corporate, company secretarial and data protection experts.
Given the pace of growth at Blue Prism, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in other legal team activities and projects, for example configuring our own software to automate elements of our legal workload.
What we look for in Senior Legal Counsel candidates:
You will be expected to have at least 3 years’ recent experience working with sales teams on software and services transactions for a technology provider, including on-premise and software-as-a-service software offerings. You will have detailed working knowledge of the issues that typically arise in negotiations for these sorts of agreements and be comfortable discussing them directly with customers, partners and business stakeholders.
You will have the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, have a genuine interest in software and technology, and be excited by the opportunities presented by working in a fast-paced environment. You establish a great working rapport with your colleagues and enjoy supporting them on a wide range of matters.
Fluency in English is essential, and language skills in any other countries that Blue Prism operates would be an advantage.
