The Role


This is a UK remote position although the majority of team are based out of our Birchwood Warrington office. We offer a collaborative, ambitious and supportive environment for all staff, providing you with everything you need to really develop your career with us and reach your full potential.

The successful candidate will join the Product Documentation team who are responsible for creating and maintaining online help systems, release notes, and guides to support our products, updating the company intranet content for the wider Product team, and ultimately making the software and documentation available to customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create content in MadCap Flare to support our product set, adhering to company styles and standards, publishing in the appropriate format.
  • Work closely with product managers and product owners to understand the scope and requirements of new releases and features.
  • Interviewing subject matter experts to gather information, gaining the appropriate level of understanding and knowledge to be able to write accurate content.
  • Create and maintain content on our portal and intranet platforms to inform customers and colleagues about our existing and forthcoming product releases.
  • Prepare the Blue Prism portal for product releases, creating the necessary records to make the software and documentation available.

Our Ideal Candidate


Key competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills both written (to create content) and oral (to interview subject matter experts).
  • Strong experience working with professional authoring tools, ideally MadCap Flare.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in aligning collateral with the corporate brand policies, and ensuring appropriate use of language and graphics.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables to given deadlines.
  • Ideally have a background in documenting computer software.
  • Experience of working in an agile development is an advantage.
